The HOA called and said you can have THIS Ferris Wheel on the patio. The also wanted to know if the ICBM was a perennial or an annual.

So-- I went to the last homeowner's association meeting thinking that they were going to chastise me for having a ferris wheel on my porch. Turns out they're more concerned with cleaning the acrylic globes on the light posts. I said my piece, defended my right to have a ferris wheel and all associated bearded ladies, and they hardly batted an eye. I could have told them I'm building ICBMs on my balcony, they wouldn't have cared.

Ponte Vecchio, Florence. These are the Municipal Police of Florence. I couldn't leave without a picture of them. Their uniforms are so cute that I couldn't help but think of how many of them could get out of a Volkswagen at the circus. Actually, the blonde is cute, but I'm wondering how she got Luciano Pavorotti to pose with her.

This is the last picture I took in Italy. It was in Boboli Gardens, part of the Palazzo Pitti in Florence. The Boboli Gardens didn't seem to have anything worth taking a picture of, but I found one anyway. Palazzo Pitti was full of amazing things. More pictures later.
